What Questions Should I be Able to Answer When Meeting Starfund?

Here's what we usually ask companies when we start getting to know them. This helps us get a better understanding of who you are and what you are doing. Our goal is to understand if and how we can create value for you.

Company Profile:

  1. Company name.
  2. Company Website URL.
  3. Company legal structure (Delaware LLC, etc).
  4. Contact name, phone number and e-mail address.


  1. CEO Name and Linkedin URL.
  2. CFO, COO, CMO, CTO etc. names and linkedin URL.
  3. Other key personnel, founders and advisers names and linkedin URL.
  4. Where is your main office located?
  5. Starfund may perform a background check on you and your team members using both an outside service and our in house DD process. Please confirm you grant us permission to do so.
  6. Please share 1 or 2 references for each key team member.

Business Description:

  1. One line description of business (eg: peer-to-peer ride sharing).
  2. Business category: B2B/B2C/B2B2C/Other.
  3. Business industry (retail, e-commerce, financial services, etc).
  4. Financial revenue model.
  5. Briefly describe your business strategy.
  6. Why is now the right time for your product or service.


  1. Please describe the main characteristics and projected size of your target market?
  2. What geographies / countries are you initially targeting?


  1. Please list your main competitors in order of importance.  
  2. What are your points of differentiation.
  3. What are your competitive advantages.
  4. Why will you beat the competition.


  1. Current Financing stage.
  2. Who are your current investors and what are the main terms of their investments?
  3. Please share or list your current cap-table.
  4. How much and when are you looking to raise in your next financing round?
  5. Anticipated use of capital from next financing round.

Presentation Deck:

  1. Please include your presentation deck.

Traction and proof of concept:

  1. Please describe your traction and proof of concept to date using the most relevant metrics for your company (# active users, RMR, deals signed, etc).


  1. Is there anything else important that we should know?
  2. Are there any other important documents we should look at? (please upload).
